Thus Cleave is hitting all those mobs at once. The 4 warlord/2 fury setup has you proccing whirlwind (on parry) and attacking a ton of mobs at once in the mob phase of the trial. Cleave is best in trials bc it is AOE while frenzy is single target and rending slash is very small damage to nearby troops. Don't hesitate to find the specs that work best for you and always have fun!Ĭleave is preferred bc the end goal of the game is to get as high as you can in trials for the season. Regarding the stats, I focus on Vitality, Power, Ability Rate, Dodge Rating and Nature Damage Parry Rating,Physical Damage and Life on Hit can be useful, too. Now, I am a new player but I watched top players equipment and used my brain. Leap gets you closer to your enemy and reduces all damage received by 50 % for 3 seconds. Charge gets you closer to your enemy and stuns them for 3 seconds and gives you a bonus to Critical Rating that you actually forego because of Fire Lily the trade-off is definitely worth it. You cast Charge and Leap to activate the living swords bonus, you can activate the Whirlwind tornadoes if you use Charge or Leap while the first one is active. You cast Whirlwind, reducing enemy damage by 30 %, if dual-wielding, for 2 seconds, and move while it's active, to activate the tornadoes bonus, if you have the Belt of Whirling Storm, you also reduce by 2 seconds all your active CDs and sends a damaging discharge around you. You don't use rending Slash because the DoT is actually weak.
You stack Frenzy to speed up your regular attacks. You use Cleave to reduce enemy damage by 15 % and speed by 50 %. Therefore you want to be able to cast Whirlwind as often as possible and withstand as much damage as possible to do so. The idea is that the Fury set can dish insane amounts of damage with its procs: living swords and even more so tornadoes.
Thus, I play with Frenzy / Cleave + Whirlwind / Leap / Charge + Power Infusion / Endurance / Intense Training mind you, I am not even Champion 500 however I am in the top 4 % PvP-wise (can't go higher for now, need tickets). It depends on your gear but I find the Fury set coupled to the Belt of Whirling Storm with the Whirlwind Axe plus the Sanguinarius weapons and topped with Fire Lily and Talisman of Power trinkets quite the powerful combo.
